Sheet Metal Welding & Assembly Services
Welding is often the critical step that turns individual sheet metal components into a functional assembly. Techsun provides custom sheet metal welding and assembly services to join fabricated parts into strong, accurate, and production-ready assemblies.
From individual welded components to complete subassemblies, we work from customer drawings, 3D models, and specifications to maintain dimensional accuracy, joint consistency, and reliable fit-up throughout production.
Our Welding Capabilities
- TIG Welding TIG welding provides precise control and clean welds, making it suitable for stainless steel, aluminum, and other applications where weld appearance and dimensional control are important. It is commonly used for visible welds, thin sheet metal components, and applications requiring a refined weld finish.
- MIG Welding MIG welding provides efficient and reliable joining for a wide range of sheet metal components and structural assemblies. It is well suited to production welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components where consistent weld quality and production efficiency are required.
- Spot Welding Resistance spot welding joins overlapping sheet metal components through localized heat and pressure. It is suitable for repetitive joining operations and is commonly used for brackets, panels, enclosures, and other sheet metal assemblies requiring consistent spot welds.
Laser Welding Laser welding provides a concentrated heat source for precise joining with a relatively small heat-affected area. It can be suitable for thin sheet metal components and applications requiring controlled weld appearance and reduced thermal distortion.
- Welding Process Selection The appropriate welding process is selected according to material type, sheet thickness, joint design, weld location, appearance requirements, structural requirements, and production volume. Welding parameters and joint requirements are established according to customer drawings and project specifications.

Materials We Weld
Techsun provides welding services for commonly used sheet metal materials, with welding processes selected according to material type, thickness, joint design, and application requirements.
Carbon Steel— Suitable for structural frames, brackets, cabinets, equipment housings, and general industrial components
Stainless Steel —Suitable for equipment enclosures, panels, brackets, and applications requiring corrosion resistance and clean weld appearance
Aluminum —Used for lightweight housings, frames, brackets, and components where weight reduction is important
Galvanized Steel—Suitable for selected enclosures, cabinets, and structural components where corrosion resistance is required.
Material and welding requirements are reviewed according to customer drawings and project specifications.
Welding Quality Control
Weld appearance—Welded components are inspected for weld appearance, surface condition, excessive spatter, visible defects, and other requirements specified by the customer.
Weld consistency—Welding parameters and production processes are controlled to maintain consistent weld size, penetration, joint quality, and overall production stability.
Dimensional accuracy—Welded assemblies are checked against customer drawings and specified dimensional requirements. Appropriate inspection methods are used to monitor critical dimensions and minimize dimensional variation caused by the welding process.
Joint alignment—Before and during welding, component positioning and joint alignment are controlled to ensure proper fit-up and maintain the required assembly geometry.
Assembly fit—After welding and assembly, mating components, mounting holes, fasteners, and interfaces are checked to ensure proper fit and function.
Final inspection—Finished welded assemblies are inspected according to customer drawings, specifications, and applicable quality requirements. Final checks may include weld appearance, dimensions, assembly fit, surface condition, and other customer-specific requirements.
Quality Documentation —Inspection records and quality documentation can be maintained according to project and customer requirements. Material certificates, inspection reports, and other relevant quality records can be provided when required.
